Anton Alekseev obtained his doctorate from the Steklov Mathematical Institute. He subsequently held short-term postdoctoral positions in Paris, Uppsala (Sweden), Vienna, and at ETH Zurich. Before settling in Geneva in 2001, he spent several years in Uppsala as a faculty member. Since 2014, he has been the Deputy Director of the National Center of Competence in Research SwissMAP funded by the Swiss National Fund and has been the Co-Director of the SwissMAP Research Station since 2021.
