Anton Käll is a researcher at Linköping University with a focus on how perceptions of the social world affect well-being and the development of interventions targeting these perceptions. His research primarily centers on understanding the role of the social environment in mental health, with a particular interest in loneliness—a phenomenon that can become a persistent issue for individuals. Käll completed his Ph.D. investigating internet-based psychological treatments aimed at assisting groups, leading to the development and successful implementation of the SOLUS intervention in Sweden and abroad. He has also led experimental studies examining the impact of morphine on social cognition and seeks to understand the neurobiological mechanisms that underpin perceptions of the social world and their ties to mental health and substance use disorders. Currently, he is engaged in research on psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy, including projects targeting complicated grief and social anxiety, under the guidance of Dr. Rebecca Böhme and Dr. Leah Mayo, respectively.
