Dr. Anton Westveld

Biography

Anton Westveld is a Senior Lecturer in Statistics at the Australian National University. His research interests encompass Bayesian methodology theory, network and relational data, game theoretic data, inference concerning uncertainty quantification, and agent-based stochastic computer simulation models. He has made significant contributions to the field of statistical causality. His work has been published in numerous leading academic journals including the Annals of Applied Statistics and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA. Westveld has a strong academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science, and a Master's degree in Applied Economics and Applied Statistics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, followed by a PhD in Statistics from the University of Washington. He also maintains an affiliation as an Affiliate Associate Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, furthering his research supervision and collaboration networks.
