Professor Maioni’s research interests include public policy, healthcare reform, comparative politics, and Canadian Quebec politics. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles and book chapters. Previously, Professor Maioni held the position of Dean of Arts at McGill University from 2016 to 2021, and Associate Vice President of Research and International Relations from 2014 to 2016. She has contributed to the Canadian political conversation as a columnist for the Globe and Mail and as a political analyst for CTV News. She served as President of the Canadian Federation for Humanities and Social Sciences and is a member of the Board of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, participating in various organizations dedicated to education, mentoring, and research. From 2023 to 2026, she is participating as a Fellow in the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation’s Canadian Foreign Policy Research Cycle.
