Biography

Antonieta Rueda, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health at Dell Medical School, University of Texas at Austin. She studied biology and chemistry at St. Edward's University and completed her medical education at UT Southwestern Medical Center, followed by a residency at Kaweah Health. Dr. Rueda is dedicated to patient-centered care and has clinical interests that include in-office procedures, skin diseases, lifestyle and preventative medicine, and women's health. She also has extensive experience working with Spanish-speaking patients and has a strong focus on diabetes-related care and wound management. Dr. Rueda is actively involved in the academic community as a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society in 2017 for her commitment to compassionate care.
