Biography

Antonius Marinus Bogers is an Assistant Professor at the Royal School of Library and Information Science (RSLIS) in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has been a member of the IIIA group since joining RSLIS in October 2009. He received his Ph.D. from the Tilburg Center for Creative Computing at Tilburg University, where he was supervised by Professor Antal van den Bosch, who led the ILK research group. Bogers holds M.A. degrees in Information Management (2001) and Computational Linguistics & AI (2004) from Tilburg University. His research interests primarily focus on recommender systems, social bookmarking, and information retrieval, with recent projects exploring information access technologies, search, and recommendation mechanisms. Additionally, he has served as a program committee member and reviewer for various prestigious conferences and journals, such as SIGIR, ECIR, and CIKM. In his teaching role, he instructs courses at both the Bachelor and Master's levels, emphasizing Digital Knowledge Systems, Information Architecture, and Collective Intelligence. He has supervised numerous Master's theses and has contributed to the training of future professionals in the field of information science.
