Biography

Antony Augoustakis is a Professor in the Department of Classics at the University of Illinois, where he has been a faculty member since 2001. He received his B.A. in Greek Philology from the University of Crete in 1994 and his Ph.D. in Classics from Brown University in 2001. His research interests include Latin imperial epic, Roman drama historiography, women's roles in antiquity, and gender theory. He is a recognized scholar, having received several awards including the Executive Officer Campus Leadership Award in 2021 and being designated a University Scholar from 2019 to 2022.
