Professor Dr. Antony Hosking

Biography

Antony Hosking is a Professor and the Director of the School of Computing at the Australian National University. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Master's degree from the University of Waikato, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Sciences from the University of Adelaide. His research interests center around advanced systems autonomy, concurrent data structures, and memory management in modern processors. He has been an active researcher since 2001, contributing significantly to various fields within computer science, particularly focusing on trustworthy systems and decision-making algorithms. His work has been recognized internationally, with a distinguished membership in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and as an IEEE member. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts. Moreover, he has supervised numerous research students and has been involved in multiple significant research projects, evidencing his commitment to advancing the field.
