Dr. Anurag Agarwal

Biography

Anurag Agarwal is a Professor at the University of Cambridge, where he leads the Acoustics Lab in the Department of Engineering. His research interests are focused on the intersection of acoustics and biomedical technology, with specific applications in aerodynamics and aerospace. He is the Dhruv Sawhney Fellow at Emmanuel College and is known for his collaborative work with industry leaders such as Rolls-Royce, General Electric, Boeing, and Dyson, among others. Anurag also co-founded Biophonics, where he promotes the integration of modern engineering with medical applications. As an Enterprise Champion and Diversity Champion in the School of Technology, he advocates for inclusive practices in engineering education and research. His dedicated work in the field is grounded in a commitment to advancing technology for practical uses in medical and industrial settings. Anurag has contributed significantly to research that impacts various sectors including healthcare, showcasing the transformative potential of acoustics in improving therapeutic devices and diagnostics.
