Dr. Anusha Kakolu

Biography

Anusha Murali Kakolu received her PhD in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University, where she completed her predoctoral pediatric psychology residency at Cleveland Clinic, followed by a postdoctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center. She holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling and behavioral medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. Her research and clinical work primarily focus on pediatric health psychology and anxiety, with a strong commitment to supporting diverse youth and families, particularly those with complex medical conditions. Anusha’s training spans various specialties including solid organ transplant, nephrology, endocrinology, genetic conditions, hematology, and oncology. As an avid educator, she serves as adjunct faculty in doctoral and master’s programs across universities and is deeply dedicated to teaching, mentorship, and supervision of students and trainees. Anusha is actively involved in mentorship programs within the American Psychological Association and enjoys baking, yoga, reading, and traveling.
