Biography

Aoran Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at the Ted Rogers School of Management, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University. Prior to joining TMU, he held a position as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. His research primarily focuses on empirical corporate finance issues, with particular attention to mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, corporate governance, and climate finance. He has published articles in respected journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking & Finance, and European Financial Management. Currently, he teaches Advanced Corporate Finance at the Ted Rogers School, where he engages students in critical aspects of corporate finance and its real-world applications.
