Biography

Apurva Bhatt, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. His role spans the General Adult Psychiatry Division and the Child Psychiatry Division, as well as the Center for Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing. Dr. Bhatt specializes in early psychosis evaluation and treatment and is the director of the Child INSPIRE Clinic at Stanford Children’s Hospital, where he provides clinical care and leads initiatives in early psychosis intervention. He is actively involved in program development for early psychosis in California and nationally, and co-chairs committees related to adolescent psychiatry within the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Bhatt also provides clinical consultations within school districts, supervises child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, and focuses his research on the mental health of Asian American South Asian youth and suicide prevention. He is dedicated to teaching and mentoring students and trainees in his field, contributing significantly to various academic and clinical initiatives.
