Dr. Arash Mohammadi

Biography

Arash Mohammadi is currently an Associate Professor at the Concordia Institute of Information Systems Engineering (CIISE) at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Tehran, Iran, in 2005, followed by a Master of Science degree from the Biomedical Engineering Department of Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2007. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (EECS) at York University in 2013. Dr. Mohammadi held a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Multimedia Lab of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Toronto from 2013 to 2015. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario and has held several notable academic and organizational roles, including Academic Chair of the Canadian Medical Biological Engineering Society and Program Chair for the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Human-Machine Systems. His research interests encompass Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Medical Image Radiomics, Information Fusion, and Cyber-physical Systems, among others. He has published extensively with numerous papers in prestigious journals and conferences, making significant contributions to the fields of machine learning and biomedical engineering.
