Dr. Aravind Krishnamoorthy

Biography

Aravind Krishnamoorthy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016. Prior to that, he completed his B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering Materials Science at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2010. His research primarily focuses on the use of atomistic simulations, multiscale modeling, and computational synthesis to understand materials structures and behaviors. He is particularly interested in machine learning applications within materials science, predictive design in manufacturing, and the exploration of ultrafast far-from-equilibrium phenomena. Dr. Krishnamoorthy has published extensive research contributing to the field and maintains an active profile on platforms like Google Scholar.
