Biography

Archer Gong Zhang is a Lecturer in Statistics at the University of Glasgow. He previously served as a Departmental Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto, where he collaborated with prominent researchers such as Dr. Nancy Reid and Dr. Qiang Sun. He completed his PhD in Statistics at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. Jiahua Chen. His research revolves around the theoretical and methodological aspects of statistics, specifically focusing on problems related to data integration and distribution shifts. A significant part of his work involves efficient inference using data collected from multiple sources, particularly through the lens of semiparametric models like the Density Ratio Model. He also explores nonparametric methods such as Empirical Likelihood and maintains a strong interest in the statistical facets of machine learning, especially concerning transfer learning and distributional shifts.
