Dr. Arian Maleki

Biography

Arian Maleki is an Associate Professor of Statistics at Columbia University, affiliated with the Data Science Institute. His research interests focus on high-dimensional statistics, computational imaging, machine learning, and compressed sensing. Arian completed his BSc in Electrical Engineering at Sharif University in Tehran, Iran. He earned his PhD from Stanford University, where he focused on approximate message passing in compressed sensing as part of his dissertation. Before his current role, Arian served as a postdoctoral scholar at Rice University, where he further developed his expertise in statistical methodologies and their applications in various fields. His work contributes to advancing the understanding and implementation of statistical tools in high-dimensional contexts, providing valuable insights into complex data structures and algorithms.
