Biography

Arianna Dagnino is a Sessional Lecturer in the Department of French, Hispanic and Italian Studies at the University of British Columbia. She holds an M.A. in Modern Languages Literatures from the University of Genoa and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of South Australia. Additionally, she has received a SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship and has contributed scholarly articles in various academic journals. Before re-entering academia, she worked as a professional journalist publishing over 500 articles in prominent Italian media. Dagnino's research interests lie in Transcultural Studies, Comparative Literature, Translation Studies, and Film Adaptation, specifically examining the effects of globalization and cultural exchange on creative practices.
