Biography

Arie Israel is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics at The University of Texas at Austin. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Princeton University in 2011, under the supervision of Charles L. Fefferman. Following his doctorate, Israel was a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University from 2011 to 2014. He joined the faculty at UT Austin in 2014. Israel's research interests primarily focus on analysis, particularly in the areas of function extension, interpolation, and harmonic analysis. He has published several papers in these fields and is currently working on Sobolev extension linear operators and their structures.
