Dr. Arie Lewin

Biography

Arie Y. Lewin is a Professor Emeritus in Strategy and International Business at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. He has made significant contributions to the fields of strategy and organization management, highlighted by his election as a Fellow of the Academy of International Business. Lewin has received the Joanne Martin Trailblazer Award from the Academy of Management in 2008. His academic career includes serving as a Visiting Research Professor at IESE from 2005 to 2008 and RSM Erasmus University. A prolific editor, he has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Management Organization Review and Journal of International Business Studies, and was the founding Editor-in-Chief of Organization Science. Lewin's research interests revolve around strategic renewal in organizations, co-evolutionary systems, and the mechanisms of adaptation within businesses. He is recognized as the principal investigator for the Offshoring Research Network, which studies how companies evolve during globalization, pinpointing firm strategies and their future plans to enhance delivery of global business functions.
