Ariel de la Fuente is a Professor at the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University, specializing in modern Latin American history. He received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York in 1995. His research interests encompass Global History, Latin American History, Latin American Literature, Literary Studies, and Intellectual History. As an experienced academic, he has contributed significantly to the field through his teaching and research endeavors, focusing on the complexities and narratives surrounding Latin America.
