Biography

Ariel Dulitzky is a Clinical Professor of Law and the Director of the Human Rights Clinic at the University of Texas at Austin. He is an expert in the inter-American human rights system and has served as the Chair-Rapporteur of the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances from 2013 to 2015. He previously worked as the Assistant Executive Secretary at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR). Professor Dulitzky is an honors graduate from the University of Buenos Aires School of Law and holds an LLM from Harvard Law School, where he also served as an editor of the Harvard Human Rights Journal. His research focuses on human rights, particularly in relation to racial discrimination, the rule of law in Latin America, and the intersection of sports and human rights. He is actively involved in promoting and defending human rights, particularly through international litigation in the Americas, and has directed litigation on over 100 cases before the Inter-American Commission and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. He has also taught at the University of Buenos Aires and Washington College of Law at American University, and currently focuses on teaching International Sports Human Rights Law.
