Biography

Aris Hadjinicolaou is a pediatric neurologist and epileptologist with a medical degree from the University of Montreal. He completed his residency in pediatrics at McGill University and a fellowship in pediatric neurology at the University of Toronto's SickKids Hospital, followed by a fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard University. Since 2022, he has co-directed the epilepsy surgery program and played a pivotal role in establishing Quebec's first comprehensive neuromodulation program. He also directs the pediatric epilepsy fellowship program at the University of Montreal. In his lab, he investigates pediatric epilepsy, focusing on identifying predictive factors for post-surgery outcomes, discovering new treatments, and applying novel technologies in epilepsy neurosurgery to enhance patient safety and survival.
