Aristea Koukiadaki joined the School of Law at the University of Manchester in September 2014 and has a PhD from Warwick Business School. She has previously worked at the Universities of Cambridge, Warwick, Manchester Business School, and Lancaster. She has held visiting professor positions at the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan in France and at the Uppsala Forum on Peace, Democracy, and Justice in Sweden. Currently, Aristea is a research associate at the Centre for Business Research at the University of Cambridge and at the London Centre for Corporate Governance and Ethics at Birkbeck College. Her research focuses on empirical studies of law and legal policy analysis, particularly regarding labour law, industrial relations, and EU social policy. She has worked on various funded projects, including the EU-funded PROCURFAIR project and her ongoing comparative project CURE: Classifying Understanding Remedies in Comparative Labour Law, which is set to run from 2024 to 2029. Aristea is also involved with the Transnational Trade Union Rights Experts Group of the European Trade Union Institute and has provided expert evidence on labour law and industrial relations issues to significant committees in Europe.
