Biography

Aristos Aristidou is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He holds the Jack E. Brown Chair III and is also the Director of the Center for Advanced Biomanufacturing Sustainability. Aristidou is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and has contributed significantly to the fields of biochemical metabolic engineering and sustainable biomanufacturing. He received his Postdoctoral training at the Metabolic Engineering Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, following a Ph.D. and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from William Marsh Rice University. Aristidou's work has been recognized through various memberships and awards, including being named a Corporate Fellow at Cargill in 2022.
