Biography

Arlene Kent-Wilkinson is a full-time tenure track professor at the College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan. She has significant experience in teaching mental health addiction, forensic nursing, and Indigenous health issues. Arlene completed her PhD in Education Administration at the University of Saskatchewan in 2008, following a Master’s degree from the University of Calgary in 1993 and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Victoria in 1990. She has also developed and taught forensic nursing courses globally and has been actively engaged in research for many years, supervising Master’s and PhD students. Her research interests include the education of mentally disordered offenders, Indigenous health education, and mental health and addictions education, reflecting her commitment to advancing nursing practice and education in these critical areas.
