Biography

Arman graduated with a PhD in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University in 2018 under the supervision of Alexander Olshanskii. His doctoral dissertation was recognized with the Bjarni Jónsson Prize. He later served as a CNRS postdoctoral fellow at Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris, collaborating with Anna Erschler. Additionally, he held a visiting assistant professor position at Texas A&M where he worked with Rostislav Grigorchuk. He has also experienced a short-term research role at the University of Vienna. Currently, Arman is a lecturer at the University of Southampton, focusing on Pure Mathematics and engaging in collaborative research. His current research interests encompass combinatorial geometric group theory, computational logic, theoretical computer science, and algebraic post-quantum cryptography. In 2024, he is set to receive the CARMIN fellowship from the Institut des Hautes Etudes Scientifiques to conduct research in Paris, France.
