Biography

Arman Eshaghi is a Principal Research Fellow at University College London, focusing on neuroinflammation. He is a National Institute Health Care Research (NIHR) Advanced Fellow, developing advanced artificial intelligence models using brain imaging and electronic health records. Eshaghi obtained his medical doctorate degree (M.D) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2013, followed by a PhD in Neuroscience from University College London in 2018. He has received numerous awards including the Young Investigator Award in 2016 from the European Committee Treatment Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) and various fellowships for his contributions to the field. His research interests lie in application model-based machine learning, Bayesian and causal inference methods to understand the underlying mechanisms of progressive multiple sclerosis. Eshaghi serves on the Editorial Board of Neurology, the official journal of the American Academy of Neurology, contributing to highly cited clinical neurology literature.
