Biography

Armand Garnet Ruffo is a poet, writer, filmmaker, and scholar known for his contributions to Indigenous literature and creative writing. His upcoming poetry book, 'Dialogues: Song Francis Pegahmagabow,' is set to be published in 2024. Ruffo's teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of blending critical thinking with creative writing, encouraging students to express meaningful narratives through their work. He has received several awards for his contributions to literature and teaching, including the Latner Writers’ Trust Canada Poetry Prize and Queen’s Teaching Award.
