Dr. Arnaud Augert

Biography

Arnaud Augert is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the Yale University School of Medicine. A graduate of the Pasteur Institute and the University of Lille, he holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology. His doctoral research emphasized Cellular Senescence, an essential biological process linked to various age-related diseases and cancer. Following his PhD, Dr. Augert conducted postdoctoral research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, focusing on small cell lung cancer (SCLC), a severe neuroendocrine tumor. His work highlighted significant discoveries, such as the identification of transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms that drive SCLC development and the discovery of novel therapeutic approaches for this cancer type. Dr. Augert has published extensively in high-impact scientific journals including Cancer Cell and Science Signaling. He is an active collaborator and has contributed to numerous studies in renowned journals like Cell and Nature Communications. His commitment to mentorship is evident through his involvement in training and supervising various levels of students and researchers. With a multidisciplinary research approach, Dr. Augert aims to integrate cellular biology with advanced genetics and molecular techniques to uncover new therapies for lung cancer.
