Dr. Arthur Teng

Biography

Associate Professor Arthur Teng is a distinguished faculty member at the University of New South Wales, specializing in the field of sleep medicine. He holds several prestigious qualifications including a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney and has furthered his expertise with a Diploma in Pediatrics from UNSW. His research interests predominantly focus on sleep-disordered breathing in infants and children, neurocognitive correlates of childhood sleep breathing disorders, childhood narcolepsy, periodic limb movement disorder, and parasomnias, which are non-respiratory sleep disorders. He is significantly involved in various professional societies and has been recognized as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Physicians. Additionally, he is an active member of esteemed organizations such as the Australasian Sleep Association, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand. Professor Teng is also associated with the China-Australia Children's Collaborative Sleep Research Centre and has contributed to advisory committees such as the NSW Health Department's SIDS Advisory Committee.
