Biography

Professor Arti Maini was appointed as Imperial's Director of Undergraduate Primary Care Education in 2023. She holds degrees in Medicine and Clinical Neuroscience and a Master's in Medical Education. With decades of clinical work focusing on general practice and medical education, her experience is primarily based in North West London. Professor Maini has led the development and implementation of health coaching skills training for medical students. She supports the creation of person-centred approaches to healthcare and the development of interpersonal communication skills, leadership, study skills, and a solution-focused mindset. In addition, she has been instrumental in coaching training for academic tutors and mentoring within Imperial's Coaching Academy.
