Biography

Dr. Arun Prasad Govindarajulu obtained his basic medical degree (MBBS) and diploma in Anesthesiology (DA) from Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, India. He completed further training in the UK, receiving his FRCA CCT from the Royal College of Anesthetists and GMC, London, England. Following his CCT, Dr. Govindarajulu completed a fellowship in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management at Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto, Canada, where he also obtained his FRCPC from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Since 2008, he has been working as an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesia at the University of Toronto and as a staff anesthesiologist. His special interest lies in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. Over the years, Dr. Govindarajulu has conducted extensive research on ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and ultrasound airway assessments. He is also involved in teaching at local, regional, and national workshops and conferences focused on ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, and leads the Ambulatory Anesthesia Fellowship Program at Women's College Hospital, University of Toronto, emphasizing ambulatory regional anesthesia.
