Biography

Arun Ross is the Martin J. Vanderploeg Endowed Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University and the Site Director of NSF’s Center for Identification Technology Research (CITeR). He received his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) degree in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India, followed by both a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Michigan State University. Prior to joining Michigan State University, he was a faculty member at West Virginia University from 2003 to 2012. His research interests include areas related to computer vision, biometric systems, and their applications in security.
