Biography

Arvind Rajendran is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta. He has a wealth of experience in academia, having previously served as an Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Arvind completed his Ph.D. in 2004 under the supervision of Professor Marco Mazzotti at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland. His research has led to 90 peer-reviewed publications, demonstrating his contributions to the field. He has also held significant editorial roles, including serving as an Associate Editor for the Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering and Area Editor for Adsorption, the journal of the International Adsorption Society. His research interests primarily encompass fundamentals of chromatography, supercritical fluid chromatography, gas separation, and adsorption processes. In recent years, his group has been focusing on CO2 capture and process optimization.
