Biography

Arvind Rajendran is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of Alberta. He completed his Ph.D. in 2004 under the supervision of Prof. Marco Mazzotti at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland. Prior to his position at the University of Alberta, he served as an Associate Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research work has resulted in 90 peer-reviewed publications, and he has also served as an associate editor for the Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering and as Area Editor for Adsorption Processes in Adsorption, the journal of the International Adsorption Society. His research interests include the fundamentals of chromatography, supercritical fluid chromatography, and gas separation adsorption processes, with a recent focus on CO2 capture. He also emphasizes the importance of process optimization and the use of supercritical fluids in his research.
