Biography

Arya Menon is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Computer Engineering from Oregon State University in 2021. Prior to that, he completed his M.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida in 2016 and his B.E. in Electronics Communication at Manipal Institute of Technology in India in 2014. His research interests include radar technologies, cognition radars, radiometers, electromagnetic modeling, high-frequency dielectric characterization, datasets for wireless signals, and microwave calibration techniques. Arya has received several notable awards including the Protégé recognition from the Texas Academy of Medicine, Engineering, Science and Technology in 2023, and the DARPA Riser award in 2022. He was also honored with the ARFTG Roger Pollard Student Silver Fellowship in 2020 and the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Graduate Fellowship in 2019. In 2018, he was awarded the Provost’s Award for Outstanding Teaching in STEM while serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
