Dr. Asa Margolis

Biography

Asa Matthew Margolis, M.P.H., is an Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is the Program Director for the Emergency Medical Services Fellowship and serves as the Medical Director of the Johns Hopkins Lifeline Critical Care Transport Program. Dr. Margolis has extensively contributed to the field of prehospital medicine over a decade, working as a prehospital provider before completing his fellowship and residency at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he was also a chief resident. In addition to his academic role, he collaborates with various local, state, and federal agencies as a medical officer for the Center for Law Enforcement Medicine at Johns Hopkins Medicine. His ongoing commitment to improving emergency care is evident in his research interests, which include Airway Management, Hospital Cardiac Arrest, Mass Gathering Medicine, and Pre-hospital Resuscitation. His work has led to numerous publications highlighting advancements in emergency medical protocols and practices.
