Asaf Ali Lone is a PhD candidate at the Australian National University in the School of Regulation and Global Governance (RegNet). Lone's work is focused on critical questions regarding land housing rights, urban marginality, segregation, urban violence, internal migration, digitalization, new forms of work, and the intersections of governance and citizenship in Indian cities. In addition to his scholarly research, he experiments with collaborative practices that include art, poetry, creative writing, music, and visual ethnography to capture the textures of everyday life within the South Asian diaspora. His ethnographic explorations aim to deliver insights into service usage and access to information, generating reports for better understanding and advocacy in these areas.
