Asghar Asgari Tokaldani was born in Iran in 1973. He earned his BSc and MSc degrees in Solid State Physics and Electronics from the University of Tabriz, Iran. His academic journey continued with PhD studies under the guidance of Professors M. Kalafi and L. Faraone at the University of Western Australia. In 2002, Asgari commenced his research career as a research associate in the Microelectronics Research Group at the University of Western Australia. After transitioning back to Iran in 2004, he joined the Photonics Group at the University of Tabriz, where he currently holds the position of Professor. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Microelectronics Research Group at the University of Western Australia. His future research focuses on Nano-electronic and Optoelectronics Devices. He is currently the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology at the University of Tabriz, where he leads projects aimed at the fundamental study of electronic transport in advanced semiconductor nanostructures. His teaching covers topics such as Quantum Mechanics, Semiconductor Physics, Nano-Physics, Photo-Detectors, and Semiconductor Optoelectronic Devices.
