Biography

Ashagrachew Yayehrad is a pharmacist with over a decade of academic research experience in health institutions in Ethiopia. He is a registered Chief Pharmacy Professional with membership in the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Association (EPA). Currently, he serves as a lecturer in the School of Pharmacy at Bahir Dar University, where he has held various academic leadership roles including Pharmaceutics Unit Leader and Undergraduate Research Project Coordinator. Ashagrachew actively participates in over 30 research projects, focusing primarily on drug delivery and pharmacy practice, frequently in significant authorship roles. His main research interests include novel drug formulation and delivery approaches and the application of nanotechnology. Additionally, he has participated in international conferences, assumed journal peer review responsibilities, and engaged in community service and extracurricular activities. His academic credentials include a Master of Science in Pharmaceutics from Addis Ababa University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Wollo University. Ashagrachew is currently a full-time PhD student at the University of Western Australia, working on formulation of nano-biomaterial-based products for dental applications under the supervision of Associate Professor Amr Fawzy Moussa.
