Biography

Ashish Ochani joined the Haskayne School of Business in 2025 as an Assistant Professor in Accounting. He holds a PhD from the SC Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. His research interests include capital markets, investors' information demands, financial and social media, and innovation. He is interested in understanding how different types of investors process, acquire, and act on information, and the role of new forms of information dissemination in shaping stock market outcomes. Before joining Haskayne, Ashish was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Binghamton University, where he taught Intermediate Financial Accounting. Ashish is a Chartered Accountant (Indian CPA) and has previously worked with EY in Transaction Advisory Services.
