Biography

Dr. Ashley Feist is an Associate Clinical Professor at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego. She obtained her Pharm.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2005, followed by a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at UC San Diego Health. Her research program concentrates on the clinical application of immunosuppressants and azole antifungal medications in solid organ transplant recipients, with a focus on pharmacokinetics, drug-drug interactions, and the profiles of adverse effects. Dr. Feist has contributed significantly to the field through her implementation of clinical pharmacy services for heart and lung transplant patients at UC San Diego Health. She has expanded collaborative practice protocols in cardiothoracic transplantation and has served as the founding chair of the UC Wide Solid Organ Transplant Pharmacist Collaborative Committee. With a dedication to education, she has been an active member of residency advisory committees and has precepted both PGY1 and PGY2 residents. Dr. Feist has received several awards for excellence in teaching and has published extensively in the field of transplantation pharmacotherapy.
