Ashley Kiemen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her research primarily focuses on employing image processing and deep learning algorithms to develop novel computational methods for understanding the microanatomy of pancreatic cancer and its associated lesions. Kiemen's lab developed CODA, a cutting-edge technique for 3D reconstruction of large tissue samples at single-cell resolution, which integrates molecular and genetic information. Her research interests include spatial mapping of anatomical, immune, and genetic profiles of pancreatic cancer precursor lesions, as well as examining invasion patterns of pancreatic cancer to local and distant sites. Utilizing CODA, her group is also investigating the 3D microanatomy of various tissues, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, and fallopian tubes.
Department of Pathology - PhD in Pathobiology. GRE is not required.
