Biography

Ashley Lucke, M.D., is a board-certified neonatologist affiliated with the Comprehensive Fetal Care Center and a clinical partner at Dell Children’s Medical Center, UT Health Austin. She specializes in coordinating fetal-to-neonatal care for complex fetal conditions. Dr. Lucke is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Dell Medical School. She earned her medical degree at Florida State University College of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center Dallas/UT Southwestern Medical Center. She continued her training with a fellowship in neonatology at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine and a second fellowship in fetal neurology and transitional medicine at Children’s National Hospital. Dr. Lucke's clinical research interests center around fetal and neonatal neurology, complex prenatal consultation, and multiple congenital anomalies. She is an advocate for maternal and child health and works to unite research and advocacy efforts to advance neonatal care. As a clinical educator, her interests extend to career mentorship and quality improvement in medical education. Dr. Lucke is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, having previously served as section chairperson for advocacy campaigns related to firearm injury prevention and neonatal abstinence syndrome. Moreover, she holds national leadership roles within the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and is also a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
