Biography

Ashley Robertson is a Lecturer in the School of Psychology & Neuroscience at the University of Glasgow. She received her PhD in 2013, where she explored sensory processing in autistic individuals. During her doctoral studies, she also worked within the Molecular, Cell and Systems Biology department at the University of Glasgow, focusing on anxiety among autistic people. Following her PhD, Ashley served as a lecturer at the University of Dundee, contributing to research on the mental health of autistic adults. In August 2020, she returned to the University of Glasgow as a lecturer. Currently, she leads psychology courses on Psychological Studies and coordinates the Research Methods 2 MSc Conversion dissertation. Her primary research interests include understanding the mental health challenges faced by autistic individuals, exploring protective factors related to their well-being, and examining sensory processing issues within this population.
