Biography

Ashraf Khalil received his Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham, UK, in 2012. He holds BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Benghazi, Libya, completed in 2000 and 2006, respectively. From 2012 to 2015, he served as the head of the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Benghazi. He then worked as an Assistant Professor at Universiti Teknologi Brunei from 2018 to 2021. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at DTU Engineering Technology, where he is actively involved in research focusing on renewable energy systems, time delay systems, microgrids, and the applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning in power system operation and control. His expertise aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and he is dedicated to contributing to global efforts toward sustainable development.
