Ashwin Pananjady Martin is an Assistant Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology with joint appointments in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Martin earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) from the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a B.Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He has gained significant industry experience through summer internships at Amazon and Microsoft. He has received several accolades including the inaugural Lawrence D. Brown Ph.D. student award from the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, the David J. Sakrison Memorial Prize for his dissertation research at UC Berkeley, and a Swiss Re Research Fellowship for his work in Probability, Geometry and Computation in High Dimensions at the Simons Institute for Theory of Computing. Additionally, he was recognized with the Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor award at UC Berkeley and received the Governor's Gold Medal from IIT Madras. In his leisure time, Dr. Martin enjoys road biking, playing ultimate frisbee, and traveling.
