Biography

Asim Mian, MD, is an Associate Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine where he specializes in Radiology and Neuroradiology. He has a medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University–Camden. Dr. Mian has created a functional MRI (fMRI) program at Boston Medical Center and has extensive experience in treating stroke and trauma victims. His research interests include Alzheimer's disease, white matter diseases, and brain tumor imaging. Currently, he is a co-investigator on multiple NIH-funded studies and involved in various projects focused on improving neuroimaging techniques. Dr. Mian is dedicated to mentoring students and expanding the research capabilities within his department.
