Biography

Astrid Brousselle is a Professor in the School of Public Administration at the University of Victoria, where she served as the director. She holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Montreal and has significant expertise in evaluation approaches and methods related to public health and planetary health. Prior to her tenure at UVic, she was the Canada Research Chair in Evaluation Analysis of Health Systems at the University of Sherbrooke from 2015 to 2019. Brousselle has contributed to the field of program evaluation, serving as the French editor for the Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation and as a member of the editorial board of Evaluation Program Planning. Her recognition in the field includes receiving the 2013 Prix Reconnaissance from the Société Québécoise d'Évaluation de Programme and the Mention coup de coeur from the Association pour la Santé Publique du Québec in 2017. Her current research interests focus on evaluation, planetary health, eco-social transition, and strategies related to governance and post-truth frameworks.
