Biography

Aswin Sankaranarayanan is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and the Principal Investigator of the Image Science Lab. His research broadly focuses on computational photography, with an emphasis on 3D shape estimation and the development of innovative imaging systems. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Maryland, where his dissertation earned the Distinguished Dissertation Award from the ECE department in 2009.
